Barrett Lake 2012
Pretty much hammered the Pine Arm, but found a few big ones on some rock points in Hauser. We mainly fished the Swimjigs with craw trailers and Swimbaits; Big Hammers, Mc's and Island Plastics. Our new 1/4oz Slayer heads were the right size most of the time, but when the wind came up, 3/8-1/2oz kept the Swimjigs on the bottom. Our local San Diego lakes are starting to turn, stoked on this late summer. |

Barrett is the perfect place to take your PA, you will have a better platform than anyone else on the lake. Had some good times there this year with the quality of fish being so good. Hopefully it fills up a little this year.

Knock on Wood... I've never fallen out of my kayak.
The new Outback is pretty stable, like a standup paddle board when it's not too bumpy. With the PA12/14, I can run laps on those things, super stable. It's nice to stretch the legs on either boat. |
