Gear and setup

getting more familiar with how the yak performs and how she drifts with wind and currents and what not

any suggestions on how to improve/add to my novice quiver?
would like to catch yellows, wsb, and halibut north cty l.a.



prosabre sd700 7' 30-60#
pacifica sp60 6'40-80#
classic sc870 7'15-40#

penn309 level wind
penn 500

Cardiffs are nice little reels. SeaLine by Daiwa, cant go with a more durable reel for the money.

Both can be found from members on here, Craigs List or Ebay.

have also heard good things about the sealines.

will post adventures.

still need a FF (saving for) and (per a recent thread)a radio. (any suggestions on one?)

one word...Squidco. Let them know how much you can spend, what,where and how you fish. They will set you up and they have the best prices in town.

i have heard good things about squidco, but they are by SD airport and i am by LAX.

Check out Taylor tackle in Marina del Rey. Tackle shop that specializes in kayak fishing gear.
