Del Mar/Cardiff

was out yesterday and noticed at low tide most of the beaches from torrey to cardiff were flat. that along with the mass of light boats just off shore got me thinking about the and morning . saw some kayaks out but they were fishing the south end of cardiff and one guy trolling from del mar dog beach to the north in what looked like probably 25-30ft of water.

anyways. anyone fish this area? anyone want to try it with me?

I made a wrong turn off the freeway and ended up in Cardiff once.

Never seen so many boob jobs, spray tans, and hair color in one spot. It put Jersey Shore to shame.

Wish I had the time. Went out all Friday night for not...been slaying Shovelnose, Yellowfin and Sand Sharks in the surf on the bass rod though. Whole fresh squid. The surf has been just about weed free for me these past couple of weeks. Don't know what the deal is but it's been awesome....

San Elijo is one of my favorite camp grounds, you can still fish from shore but from Swamis down is a no no from the kayak.

F- The MLPA: (MLPA = the Marine Life Protection Act for all the new people here that can't remember the fight or decided they didn't have time to help in some way)

Oh and while we're at it...
F- Smurfrider too:
http://mlpasurfrider.blogspot.com/20...send-some.html, they supported closing this area, and many others.

If you go be sure to bring wheels. Most of the parking-other than street-is in the state parks @ $15.00. I was out Sunday- tons of squid, but the current and swell made for tough fishing. There were at least nine light boats out last night. Quite a sight at 2 am.

saw the light boats out last night....think the cool guys have a secret spot(s) for sure. Seen guys off of 15th St in Del Mar at times too....need to get into the "in" crowd on these.....

Spray tans in cardiff...interesting
