How often ......

Do you change your spectra? aside from visual frayed line, do you guys change this stuff out?

^ ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ This gives me teh lulz. To the O.P. I have spectra on some of my reels that are approaching their 7 year anniv. and it's still plenty good to go. It's all about maintenance.

If your Yakin after every trip. Me mine is at least 3 years old, as long as its not frayed or snapping off then its good.

My oldest stretch of braid is about 10 years old and has seen 4 different reels. Stripped off maybe 1/3 of it from wear and tear. Currently it's serving as backing underneath some wind-on.
