Awesome fish Dan. What do you do with it at work? Freezer available?
One of my problems fishing before work - if I get lucky - I have to drive back to NC to clean/prep my catch then back to Mission Valley to work. Pain in the ass. I need to figure something out. -kvn |

Of course Dan has to pay off his boss with hamachi for coming in late on a hot bite day.

Nice hefty piece Dan!!!
![]() Today was pretty ugly out there... Launched early... With low tide and bigger swell, some sets were breaking under the pier light. Only managed 1 micro spanish. As the daylight moved in, found big bait ball in 40ft SW from the Pier and quickly loaded up. Surprisingly, not too much traffic – 7-8 PBers and that many kayaks. I heard the guy who's got a report up on BD on the radio... There was a ton of birds on the outside… Way outside.... Never caught up to them. Wind kicked up around 9:00 AM… It was a major pain to paddle into the wind + pretty descent downhill current… Took forever to come back. Water brownish, about 10’ visibility. I was reading 59 – 61 temps… I managed a couple of pencil cudas and 1 calico. The swell picked up een more by 11:00AM, so landing was dicey.... ![]() ![]() Good seeing everyone.
