Talking Lake Cuyamaca 12 lb trout....

Well, I didnt post a report on this catch...However, when I saw my pic on the cover of the SDFISH webpage. Its also under the Lake Cuyamaca reports on SDFISH, I was like whoah...didnt realize the park ranger actually posted for me =)

It was my first fish this year that weighed in at double digits...and my PB rainbow trout (12.25 lbs). It was caught on a flylined nightcrawler with 2 lb test.

I was totally trying to represent yakfishermen by taking the pic with my paddle. Just noticed they cropped it out =(

The link below is the report and pic

Just for kicks; I was thinking how cool it might be to hook one of those Sturgeon that are supposed to be in there from my PA..I gotta do some research and maybe one of these days I might just load up and take the 30 min ride up there and see if I can get me a Dinosaur to add to my list of the species I've caught.

Having not ever caught a trout that big, I would be interested in how it does taste however you cook it up...I love trout but do they taste different when they are that size...inquiring minds would like to know...
