Prevent waterproof inline fuse corrosion
I probably marine glue the next one i get to make sure no salt water gets in it.

Frank,
take the fuse out, leave it out, solder, repair and heat shrink, the less splices/ connections the better...

another key factor is unplugging your battery after every trip. Also try liquid electrical tape.
