Thanks, guys, for the feedback.
JB-"You should have seen it after his "swing and a miss." ..That wasn't a miss- it was my warm-up swing! Thanks for taking the pic. Journeyman (Jarred?)- Your new mini-ProA is s-w-e-e-t. I'm envious! Hope you can join me sometime-I'm often out on Fri. "How did u set up your rig for that bad boy? "..I usually take 2-3 rods each with different rigging and trade off if one isn't working. There doesn't seem to be a best one for hali (3xswivel dropper loop, sliding egg sinker, drop shot, and others)-I've nice hali on all when they're good and ready. The drop shot is what worked for me this time. I always use a trap hook with large sardines and macs. "apologies for the thread jack, in advance...sorry, still a little giddy...congrats on the toad"...No apologies necessary, but I do reserve the right to jack your next post! I can totally relate to your excitement -outstanding 'but. How big was it? Heard there was a twin but maybe we should update it to triplets? |

Nice fish Wayne. The last couple of times that I fished at Dana I only got 1 bite and each time came home with a halibut.

You guys are animals!
Catching 30 pound Hali's like they are lizard fish. Damn, I'm inspired. |

Wow, nice 30 lbdr, Brett. That is a monster. Is that yer custom truck hoist? Looks like you're gonna need to invest in one if that's the kind of fish you're catching now.
