Need some advise...
What depth am I looking for on the FF? I know there is a deep canyon there but if anyone could give me some ideas of how I should go about this would be much appreciated. I'll have a friend with me who's never gone kayak fishing so I'm excited to get him on some fish! Also, what type of tackle do i need to bring? I can get fresh squid. I have rock cod rigs and swimbaits. Do i need to get some irons? I don't have any experience with them but I'm looking to get some soon anyway. If all else fails, we'll make bait, target halibuts and stay closer to shore. |

Ive nvr yakked King Harbor yet, But depth range for Rockfish would be between 180-300 feet of water.
Your Rockcod rigs should work, 4-8oz torpedo weights depending on the depth & flow of current. Be safe out there and good luck!
