I launch at the South end of the surf beach parking. There is some regulation about staying south of the "OK" sign for paddle powered devices. I am not sure where that sign is though. Costs $15 to park on the dirt road/lot. There is a small channel south of the lot and north of the Domes that is easier to negotiate the surf in (except in very high surf). So I usually 45 my way in and out, outside the shore break, when loaded for bear. Take frozen/plastics cause the bait situation can be tough.

Man, watching all those videos has me wanting to drive on up there and give it a go. I can crash with the best of 'em. Maybe after the water warms up a bit. Maybe those of us with access to Pendleton should all meet and head out from there?

It is the same gate that gets the military into their campground, so it might be free to them?

Yeah, those of us who can access it get in for free. Waves aren't bad there if you time it right.
