Is it possible to rig up some kind of a bait tank with two people on it?

yups has plenty of space in the back....floor plan is just like the one in the pic. the hobie livewell is not compatible with any of the outfitters

Yes, Matt. But the extra weight may cause you to submarine on windy, choppy, swelly, Cabrillo days. I know from personal experience. Here is my setup...

I would go with the smaller vittie vault if you are going that route I will post the weight capcity soon so to the question of two grown man depends how heavy are they

When I had the tandem, I put a small vittles vault in a full size milk crate. If you put the milk crate sideways behind the rear seat, it will span the rails of the kayak and works pretty well.

I actually liked the tandem as a solo yak as well. Put the same crate up front, and the weight distribution was almost perfect.
