The best connection I have found for fluro to spectra (without using a swivel)
is the Tony Pena Knot / also called the Bob Sands Knot. Tie a double overhand knot in the fluro Wrap the spectra 12 times up and then 12 times back down crossing over itself (creating X's as you wrap) Wet the knot and draw it in one continuous motion. --------------------------- It casts through the guides nicely and its very strong.

Listen to
![]() But personally I like bimini twists and with a worm knot. They use this knot combo on the long range fleet. It is not an easy knot, but it's strength is unsurpassed. |

Great knot and the best casting through guides with a short topshot. |
