If you are looking for comparable stability and comfort, go with the Outback.
It has a higher payload. It is wider so your center of gravity is higher, which makes it more comfortable. It is also wider and flatter across the seat, making it roomier.

Locally, you can talk to the guys at Oceanside Dive & Kayak. They have demo Hobies.
Best part, for no extra cost you get some nice fish ju-ju with your yak. Maiden voyage on my new ride from them = ![]() ![]()
