SD Bay bugging 1/10/12 & 1/11/12

While Julie was hard at work, I made a solo bug trip Tuesday night. I did so well, I went back last night. Crawling better on Tuesday, I had my limit by 7:00PM, and it was so hot, I let all the crabs go (5 or 6 legal ones). It took me until 10:30PM last night to finish my limit, and I kept the crabs this time, to complete a crab feast with the 4 cooked ones in the freezer.
I kept Julie updated with phone calls. She definitely wished she could have been there, as it was the best crawls I've seen since the two of us starting doing the bug thing. She will at least get to enjoy the meals
Here's the photos of the 2 nights catch. In the 2nd photo, the big boy went 3lbs.

Wow! Great work! I wish I had those in my fridge! One of these days I am going to get into the hooping thing. I did it once off my yak at SD bay and it was windy, cold and no bugs. I got to get back in the saddle and try it again.

Nice haul man.

I was thinking of heading down to SD bay this weekend. Where do you launch from and what what areas do you recommend hooping?
