I love fishing AK...haven't done it from a yak but I've fished over a dozen seasons up there over the years. I even worked a season in a salmon cannery...if you haven't fished Alaska you haven't really fished, there's nothing like it.

Think that is on my bucket list for this year. Jims show is on The Fishing Network (TFN). Howard McKim's ideas about replacing the straps on Tridents with Bungee is very kewl too (I will never go back to the straps).

We also just started airing on NBC sports, formally Versus, the problem here is the cost of being on NBC, so we have more of a mini series on there with just three episodes. Hopefully as the fan base grows we will have more episodes. As to Alaska Kayak fishing I have been up there three times fishing with Howard McKim, twice while shooting our show and I must say the place is epic. You do have to deal with weather though at times, for instance on my last trip we spent a large majority of the trip sitting under a tarp next to the fire watching the rain. If you have to sit in the rain though it is a pretty great place to do it. Here are a few of my favorite shots from there.

I have wanted to go up there and fish with Howard or Chris for a long time. Definitely something I need to do in the next few years. Every time I see pics from them i get so jealous!

Yes on the trailer, it was quite the chore putting it together but I really like it.

I hope you are charging them to build it for them, though I am sure you can do if faster than I did, having done it before, it is still a time consuming job.

I would be happy to fish in the rain up there. Sorry about the wrong channel name. Awesome pics Jim. What is the best time of year to hit it?
