Fished Irvine on Sunday
The conditions were absolutely brutal! Pretty much flat all day, very slight breeze on and off. Not too many people on the lake today, probably due to the last few days being blow outs. There were lots of fish out there for people like me to hook and long distance release. My son ended up with one very nice football fatty. 20 inches. That made up for the last 5 fish that Daddy lost for him. Erick was out there putting the wood to the fish, he left with a limit by noon. >>>>>>>Hey Erick, can you explain to the crowd how one breaks a 20 pound rated pole fishing trout?<<<<<<<<<< Matt |

Matt, you should take a few lessons from your son.

Depending on the snap you may be able to salvage it with a ferrule. If not, check with Fenwick if it was a model with lifetime warranty. Won't get the same model if it's that old, but you'll get something similar.

Freshwater Gaff = No No
Fenwick will usually replace an old broken rod. Very good customer service. |

Irvine....I have not been there in years! Not since I lived in Long Beach. I recall one year they drained the lake and it was like fishing in a bath tub.
