will it boot off a CD/DVD? you can burn a UBCD and check the hard disk, memory etc.....
http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/ you can also plug in an external monitor to check to see if anything is showing on the screen  is this an older laptop? have you removed the battery and reinserted it and plugged it back in? |
