White River Fly Shop® Breathable Waist-High Stocking-Foot Waders . heres what i use . check em out. most guys use chest high. i opted for waist high . they sell slip on boot to put on top of stocking boot to protect it. worth the extra money to protect the stocking foot. what you were looking at was cool . but you want your feet to stay warm, to prevent heat loss. the suggestion about zipper is always a plus when taking a leak.

i was gonna suggest waders also. i got some from bass pro. boots were extra. i went with in house brand waders that were waist high. spent less than one bill for both , or there abouts. jacket i went with extrasport . wasnt cheap. well worth it. top quality. extrasports .com. when wearing both properly you will stay completely dry. for most staying dry= alot more comfort on the water. you on the other hand are probably used to the cold chilly waters of san diego.

if your able to go out sunday head out to cabrio with some of the boys your target is halibut so bring that kind of set up.

You need to look at it as layering. Waders, paddle pants/splash jacket or dry suit are great for the outer layer. You just as important if not more important layer is you insulating layer. Check out the SeasonFive gear at OEX. Its a long underwear style layer that in itself is waterproof, windproof and breathable. Wear these under your outer layer and you'll be good.
