i use neoprene waders. they got a little leak in the foot but they are alright. Keeps me warm. I just wish I had a waterproof shirt to go over it to keep my arms warm. Some times when we launch and get a wave to the face a bit of water leaks in through the top. I got the waders for $40 at sports authority

[QUOTE=griffsd06;66905]I'm somewhat new to kayaking. What is the best (fairly low cost) way to stay warm while hooping? I've heard of splash pants, etc., but don't have $100+ extra to spend at this time.
Any advice appreciated.[/QUOTE i use neoprean waders you can la yer up on clothing under if it is a cold winters day if you get to hot just roll down tops i picked mine up at cabalas online for about 50 bucks.breathable waders are a better bet but you cant beat the price and like you i was looking to minimize my spending.starting out can get expensive.good luck |

Ghetto solution:
If you have one, wear a wetsuit. Even with the top pulled off, your legs will stay warm, but you will of course be wet for a few hours. You can buy a used or crappy thin one on the cheap if you look around. Willy |
