Kayak Roof Racks?
New to the site and getting ready to pull the trigger on a kayak and gear. I own a Toyota Tacoma with a shell and I'm looking for suggestions on the best roof racks for the kayak. I know there's several options to choose from. Any input would be appreciated |

I have a Toyota 4Runner and used to put my yak /yaks on top. Single yak on just the roof rack. For two yaks on the roof rack, I use a Tule Kayak Stacker.
I have found that it is waaaaay easier to just throw the kayak in the back of my 4runner, sand, salt water, and fish blood and all. This move saves soooo much time not to mention my back. |

thanks for the info..my back is wacked. I had back surgery last year and im still in pain. So I can see using that method when I'm fishing near my home in Ventura/Malibu and using the racks when coming down your way to fish and on my trip to Baja Sur. So when you only had one yak on your roof, you would just strap it down on the rack? |
