The spoils of war.
Some various Yellow Tail hand rolls, Sashimi and Tataki. A nice unfiltered Hot Sake and Sapporo. If you ever want to impress a lady, invite her over and have this waiting for her Then on day two Pan seared Halibut steaks in white wine, almond oil, minced garlic, fresh basil leaves, and some dried garden vegetable seasoning. A dash a Lawreys. Slow cooked on both sides, then a quick blazing hot seer on both sides after you let it rest for a moment. Laid over a bed of spinach reduced in a white wine garlic butter sauce. Long grain brown rice with a some diced Shitaki mushrooms, a light spring mix with some balsamic vinaigrette and a side of mixed veggies with a light drizzle of butter and salt. Throw in two bottles of Sauvignon Blanc and some candles..... I find it's also important to acknowledge the lives that were lost to make these meals possible. Pardon the noob question, but what is unfiltered saki, and why is it presumably better than filtered saki?

It's a bit sweeter and creamier than traditional Sake which goes really well with a more spicy variety of foods. Unfiltered Sake is called "Nigori" Nigori is suggested to be sherved chilled, but I prefer it either way. With a hot meal I go cool, with a cold meal (sushi) I heat it up. It also is a nice contrast to a cold beer. It's like going back and forth between the hot tub and the pool. |

Very nicely done! I think I almost started to like you.
Where is the hot chick? Did you freeze the meat first? I heard some people say go fresh, some have said to freeze it first if it is to be served raw. |
