Hey Ken,

I've been using a few different materials, but here is a little rundown on one type.

I use a knotting cord that is pretty iridescent.


I also use holographic ribbon.


Both the knotting cord and holographic ribbon were purchased at Michaels.

I combine the two and wrap the hook.


Once bound, I fray the knotting cord with a hook and trim the holographic ribbon to length and desired angle.


Then I apply a pigmented base coat, usually with red nail polish or varnish.


Then I apply a final coat with a clear iridescent nail polish or varnish.


Once dry, I tie everything together.
