Didn't mean to rain on your parade or threadjack you. I have been looking for a T for 4 years now and I just plain suck at shark fishing. I read your post and thought that you ended up north of the pier, perfectly legal. I did not mean to imply that I thought your catch was illegal in any way. Great post

Ditto! I guess my post should have been posted elsewhere as well. Great catch and crazy through the surf to boot!

same thing happened to me
almost

i freespooled
and paddled back outta the surf zone

only to break my rod shortly after
guess i made the wrong decision

way to werk it

crazy catch fro the surf anyday of the year

Congratulations on your catch Kenny. And just your first time shark fishing.

This one rivals your 29# striped bass from the surf in Oceanside. What is next on your list A 50# halibut maybe.
