IMO anything can happen.
From my experience at LJ, spring/summer fish are in the upper 1/3 of the water column 70-100 feet of water on the dines and macks. It seems the flyline baits and surface iron catch more of the fish. Having said that, if you stuck to fishing deeper water 120+ with heavier iron you may find bigger fish, or a WSB. But it's hard to stick to that strategy when clickers are screaming and rods are bent inside of you. ![]() |

Nice fish. I'll be looking to catch my first YT on my new yak this weekend. I went the Malibu route on the new yak so I figure the fish will be jumping on my line left and right, right?
