Lol... I have no tele-photo lens. Wish I had some binoculars or a scope to see what they using for bait or which irons. I been out here twice and its a different view from the hills/hotel view. Let's just say the kelps are all around, estimated depth ~90 to 100ft. About 30 to 45 mins of paddling from the launch at the shore of LJ next to the OEX kayak rental. Someone correct me on this if necessary.

My fiance surprise me with a relaxing day in La Jolla. I kept peeking out the window and at about 11ish, everyone scramble and not too many kayakers left on the waters. If you stay parallel to the white tall condo, from what others are talking about is the fishing normal fishing ground.
