Just go fish! As long as you make sure you don't fish in the old reserve you should be OK.

As stated above, I don't think there will be much enforcement especially with no markers out there and no GPS on your ride..
But if you want to care, Basically... 1. North of the pier you can only fish for bait until you get up to the golf course, then it's open again. http://www.dfg.ca.gov/mlpa/pdfs/scmp...scripmatla.pdf 2. Straight out from the beach it's the same, just fish outside of the yellow buoys. Same link as above. 3. You'll have to get pretty far south before the next one begins. Draw an east/west line out from Winamar street if you know the area. Then don't fish south of the line until you reach Crystal Pier in PB: http://www.dfg.ca.gov/mlpa/pdfs/scmpas2012/slajolla.pdf Those are the 3 areas, in super basic terms. Tight lines. Willy |

Old vs. New conservation areas
Are there any overlay maps that comapre the old reserve areas compared to the new ones?

Yes. The first map I linked to in my last post shows the old reserve in red.
Everything else in that map, and the other map is new. Willy |
