Took the SS Xfactor on an icebreaking mission
Went out to do some freshwater fishing with my buddy (Catchnfish) at Silverwood lake on Sunday. It was his first time in a kayak, so the main intent was to get him comfortable in his new stealth 12 and any fish would be a bonus.
It was a much nicer day than predicted with some snow on the ground from the previous day. We trolled around and I got a couple of strikes but nothing on the hook. Got to a point in the lake where it was frozen for a section of about 20yds but could see moving water on the other side and figured I would see how well the xfactor can plow through ice. It was awesome, the ice was thin probably no more than 1/2" at the thickest and the xfactor cleared a path for my buddy to bring his stealth through behind me. Had a great day, he picked up 2 nice trout and I got nada. I'll let him post his fish pics if he took em but these are some I took while on the water. |
