Fishing Report 1/17/2011
Spent a few hours in Marina Del Rey, in 50to 60ft a water caught one undersized halibut that's it.
Compared to Newport Beach marina del rey has barely any life left i would paddle for about 20 mins and I barely saw something moving . I would barely see school of bait in my fish finder with an occasional 27-42inch fish after them. No one took my anchovy baits. Marina del rey is all polluted brown yucky slim behind the breakwater, i think from now on I am going to fish Malibu or Newport. I had two lines in the water, and they ended up getting tangled somehow,I was very frustrated because i saw this huge halibut swim by the fish finder and i didn't have any more lines to drop.
