Hapcheon Bassin 29 March...
Got my biggest bass in Korea and one of my top 5 largest bass so far. I've caught hundreds of bass, but not many large ones.
Fished 14 hours in the rain yesterday, for two fish and farmed one. Tried this morning but the front moving through had the wind up, was tough to do much of anything. Threw in the towel after 7 hours and no fish. Got in the truck to find this guy in front of my face.... would have cancelled my trip before driving with him in the cab. Luckily he flew away. Mandarin fish.. one of my bucket list species. Mystery fish dinner. Sometimes I just have to ask for whatever is available, not speaking the language can be a challenge. Wasn't bad, a bit spicy. Outriggers came unglued at the bases... have to epoxy them. Only the third time or so they've been used. Nice fish to break in my newly built rod... 4.15 on the digital scale.... 14 hours of fishing in the rain for two fish will about drive you mad... but better than no fish! |
