Old ball point pen. Take it apart and cut up the clear tube.
Thanks Jim, I told you how well it's worked for me. Kills the halibut if you fish the eel grass. Bait just dances in the strike zone without hanging up...

Ditto on the Tony Pena knot for joining spectra to mono or fluoro. I find it a little easier to tie on the water than the albright or uni to uni. As Jim said it casts great too.

Got about 4 knots I use:

Palomar for bait and some iron

San Diego for iron

reverse albright with lock knot

dropper loop (40lb line only)

not very fancy but it seems to get the job done!
