Big fan of VRBO. I have looked at stuff in those areas but have not rented there yet. I booked a cabin above Lake Cuyamaca for our upcoming 25th anniversary in April. Have booked a couple houses in MX in the past and even a local beach house for my daughters graduation last Summer

Mammoth is full of rental units and you'll find something easy. Yosemite is a little harder since there is limited options inside the park.

Ive used vacation rentals for everything from quick getaways to places for family to stay for my wedding. Vacation rentals are a great way to get away comfortably and save some money, with the right rental and setup. |

I don't know Iceman personally but I think he actually used to deliver ice. Read something in a post of his a long time ago. BTW Iceman, I do look forward to running into you on the water someday. Maybe Barrett will be in better shape next opener after all this rain.

Just a heads up. With all the weather blasting the sierras this week, we could have a year where the lakes on the Mammoth loop don't ice out until late July. It had happened before to me on a trip I planed on the 4th of July about 5 years ago. Yosemite won't have that problem.
