WTB Standard Horizon HX270S Charger

Just returned from living in Virginia for 15 months and cannot find the charger for my radio. Before I buy another one new, I thought I would check to see if maybe someone had lost their radio and have the charger laying around and would like to sell it.

Thanks BajaDog. I saw those when I Googled, but was hoping to get lucky with someone having one laying around. Not to mention not having to wait for one to ship. I have had the radio so long, I hate going out on the water without it.

Thanks,
Jim

I have an extra charger, what model do you have? I had a HX471, I believe they will all charge any model... Mine fell out of my pocket to Davey Jones Locker... you can have it for a nominal fee... 6 pack of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale...

For reference, here is the one I had...

Jim,

Please email me (j.kennedy@vxstdusa.com) your Home Address and I will send you out the charger for the HX270S. Do you need both the 110 VAC cord and charging bucket?

Please buy Holy Mackerel a Sierra Nevada Pale Ale or better yet a local SD BEER (Green Flash or Stone Brewing).

Thanks,

I had the same situation, but recently just found the charger. I was pleased to find that the radio held it's charge (with limited use) for six months! Standard Horizon makes a great product.

Jason,

Email sent, and I have to say I appreciate it very much. I have been more of a lurker on this board for the last few years because truthfully I don't get out enough to be as effective as most on here. Hopefully now that I have retired from the Navy I can put more time in on the water to learn the tricks that will make me more successful. I did know that there are a great bunch of folks here and am not surprised by the responses.

Holy Mackerel, your offer was greatly apprecioated also, and I wouldn't mind bringing a few down to the launch.

Standard Horizon customer service

Thanks, Jason Kennedy for taking care of a customer, that is impressive. And Stone Pale Ale makes a great local alternative to SN pale.

Wow... JimPat if you will confirm that they actually sent you a free charger I will trade in my Icom for a new S.H.; just to support anyone with that kind of customer service! Companies that treat their customer base like that will get ALL of my business!

A note to all that Jason is as good as they get ...

Came home today to find an envelope on the porch that had a charger for my radio in it. I am a Standard Horizon customer for life. If you come down to fish drop me a line a head of time and I will buy you that beer .

Thanks,
Jim

Standard Horizon HX270S Charger - Part II

Classic. I Googled this because I lost my charger, and this message string popped up. Small world. Basically when I was in Hawaii I charged it at a friend's and left it there. By the time I realized I had left if there, it disappeared. Sooooooo... anymore good karma floating around out there? I am fine with the Green Flash beer donation, as well. I live in Cardiff and would be happy to pay for mailing it. I love the radio but can't afford to keep using batteries. If nobody has an extra, I will try to buy one online... just thought I'd check first!

Aloha,
Trout
