MrPatrick, I think has everyone beat. He has told me that he's been at it for 5+ years and has still to land a Yellow from the kayak. I don't know the number of trips involved, but time wise he's got unbelievable patience, might qualify for sainthood, ha, ha, ha. Never too late, even if the bite dies down, there are still the larger Homeguard year round. You just never know which you'll hook up.

It is me, too.
My one hook up was lost to a weak improved cinch knot and leader that was too light. I'm using 40lb flouro leader (which seems like a bit of overkill) and palomar knots now. And it's not too late. My buddy speared a 25-ish pound YT yesterday when we were out at LJ.
