more solo yak hoopin

I liked the way the conditions were looking lately and had not been on the water in a week. I got out of work and headed for the launch. Incoming tide made for a LONGGGGG paddle out to the spot. The bugs didn't want to play at first. Then after a couple hours they turned on. Some good pulls and then all my bait was about chewed up. Just bones in the cages.

Talked to a couple bd'ers on the water last night and enjoyed another stoagie. Great conditions with no wind and pleasant temps. the tide made for a nice paddle back.

Finished the night around 9pm and headed for the beach. Lots of just shorts (Clickers) last night. I did manage a few keepers though.

Thanksgiving dinner here I come. Steak and lobster. Tired of doing the same old turkey thing for Thanksgiving.

No anchor needed. I just set the hoops and hang out close by. Other than hoops and bait cages, lobster guage and report card....you'll need a good light that is visible 360 degrees (regulation i think)a head lamp and some gloves. A fish finder to see bottom structure is also very helpful.

Jim (Spyder) is looking at that night as well. I don't know yet if I can get out. I also need to eat some bugs between now and then so I'm not over the posession limit.

Nice Job,
I guess I should have pulled the family emergency excuse. I can just picture it I'm drifting by shelter island and my boss is networking and watching me drift by.

Plan on heading out Sat/Sun.
