Shimano Curado... Haven't used them for SoCal salt but I've used em in Oregon for steelhead and salmon. Great little reels!

Reels
Conventional reels... I need something that I can put lighter line on. Less than 12lbs. I like to fish spotties and flatties
I have a Newell 229 with 12lbs, and a SHIMANO CORSAIR 401A with 12lbs I am looking for and round baitcasting reel

For light line my favorite reel on the market is the Daiwa Coastal. Super smooth, low maintenance (Ive oiled mine 2 times in 3 years and they are still super smooth), wet drags, and really light.
