elite4 gps help
i went out last weekend and was a little foggy so i figure no problem ill just lock down my position at harbor mouth and head out.well could not get it to lock in my position i say f it and head out anyways.well it got preety thick and i tied off to the kelp and it adventually moved on.this was the first time that i tried to use the gps on this unit.so ive been reading the manual and fing with the thing and it will not find my position.am i doing something wrong maybe the gps function is no good on my unit anyone else have this proublem

I use gps for fishing and hunting,
for practice mark you way point athome and use it around town before going dead now where in the water. Learn how to mark waypoints

GPS + Fog = you getting lost. I always carry a lensatic compass and know my bearing on launch. Learn to use a Military square and you will never be lost again.

Try initializing your unit with your known coordinates first. It may think you're on the other coast where the sun rises over the sea!
