Note to Self...

Homeguards will school you if you don't have your stuff in order...

Went out thursday, had one shot. The line was wrapped around the side of my reel as he started to peel line. The 40 lb mono actually melted into the side of my reel. Nothing like popping off a good fish in front of 40 of your closest kayaker friends...

Went out yesterday on a buddys boat for the smaller stuff, caught this guy. Any guesses for the species?

Everyone be safe out there this weekend, should be a ZOO!

It looks similar to a lincod. Are they found this far south?

Sucks to lose the fish, but that sure did leave a cool battle scar on the Daiwa.

Don't know what that thing is, but we caught a few similar ones in the Sea of Cortez a while back.

^Nah, that's a jawfish. (AKA bigmouth bastard)

I like the monkeyface prickleback. Would be cool if it was one of those.

edit: the consensus on BD seems to be jawfish, too. "Well I'll be..."

Crazy! If that had been a finger, you'd have 4 today. Is a cool battlescar though!

I know the fact you lost it hurts, but the scars on the reel are pretty cool!
