There's switches that have one minute on/off cycles. I got one on my bait tank on my whaler. Saves the battery and doesn't hurt the bait (depending on what type).

I have one with a dial that is adjustable. It runs 30 seconds and can be off anywhere from 5 seconds to 5 minutes.I adjust it to how much bait I have in the tank.I got it at bass pro shops.

The ones we used to sell as part of the kayatank system we made ourselves because we couldn't find any other option on the market that would last more than a couple months in a salty kayak. The ones dgax posted are what we currently offer, they're just as durable and made for duck decoys, so they're completely waterproof. Plus CJ doesn't have to slave in his garage to produce them.
Be careful, even some of the "marine grade" timers you'll find out there will prove to self destruct in a kayak. It's a much wetter and more corrosive environment than the panel of a bass boat for example. |
