Strapping a Pro Angler to a roof cage?

Looking to put a ROLA roof cage on my Jeep so I can give myself more options for transporting gear OUT of the car vs inside. I was wondering if anyone has put a PA on strapped to a roof cage. I can't see why it wouldn't work, I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

if you could mount saddles to the crossbars it should work.

this is how i transport my Revo and it works perfect. I have the saddles in the front and the Hully Rollers in the back (both connected to Yakima crossbar)

How are you going to get it up there? The thing weighs a ton.

thats the whole problem. I love my pa but i can barely get it into my pick-up, let alone over my head. I use my outback for lj.

I can get my PA into the bed of the truck easily and I use an extension to provide support for the rear of the kayak. I can transport a PA and an Outback in the back without any extra stuff.
