Strapping a Pro Angler to a roof cage?
1 Attachment(s)
Looking to put a ROLA roof cage on my Jeep so I can give myself more options for transporting gear OUT of the car vs inside. I was wondering if anyone has put a PA on strapped to a roof cage. I can't see why it wouldn't work, I just want to make sure I'm not missing anything.

if you could mount saddles to the crossbars it should work.

x2 this is how i transport my Revo and it works perfect. I have the saddles in the front and the Hully Rollers in the back (both connected to Yakima crossbar) http://www.bigwatersedge.com/bwegall...5/P1010116.JPG |
How are you going to get it up there? The thing weighs a ton.

I can get my PA into the bed of the truck easily and I use an extension to provide support for the rear of the kayak. I can transport a PA and an Outback in the back without any extra stuff.

Loading the Pro Angler is a breeze on top SUV's.

That slide up the back technique works well. I load an adventure island with the full amma kit that way. I don't know if my yak wieghs the same as a PA but it is 16' long and the amma make it heavy and wide and a bit wobbly. Give it a try. Mike
