You should be able to just pull it off, it's not going to be easy but it should come off.
Are those air bubbles?

Belt sander, go with 60 or 40 paper. Put some muscle into it.

Go with what Matt said or scrape it on a cement floor, just make sure the cement floor is smooth

Just went through this myself. In scraping the old stuff I cut a couple tiny pieces of plastic off the bottom of the transducer. Does it matter or is the plastic just a cover for the sensor inside?

MEK will take it off. But it will also eat the transducer if you soak it too long in the MEK.

MEK is also HARD to find with the new VOC laws in CA. I have to go to AZ for my favorite wood finish because of the new restrictions.
