Removing old Goop from transducer....how?
My buddy pulled up his transducer and now wants to reuse / reinstall it using the duct seal method...he was able to pull off much of the old Goop from the outside edge but the middle area of the ducer is still coated. What do you recommend?

You should be able to just pull it off, it's not going to be easy but it should come off.
Are those air bubbles? |

Why in the world would you post a pic of some other transducer? I just noticed it says 2008  |
I've had success scraping it off with a razor blade.

Belt sander, go with 60 or 40 paper. Put some muscle into it.:D

Go with what Matt said or scrape it on a cement floor, just make sure the cement floor is smooth

Acetone!

Lawnmower.:D
I know its hard but cant you pull it off? |
MEK will take it off. But it will also eat the transducer if you soak it too long in the MEK.
|
MEK is also HARD to find with the new VOC laws in CA. I have to go to AZ for my favorite wood finish because of the new restrictions.
