Absolute ZOO!!!

So i'm not stating anything new here, but i just looked at the webcam out of curiosity and its an absolute zoo at the launch. I cant even imagine if you were out this morning and decided to come in right now. I guess weekend fishing is pretty much out of the question unless you bring a gallon of patience out there with you. Wow.

Yeah, it looks like what ever they did to solve the congestion didn't have much of an effect

Soon they will be charging for parking. The tourists will pay it so the problem will not be solved. It will just cost locals more and the toll will be year round. We should fight this plan.

Weekend crowd + high tide = mess. At least the tide wasn't in the street. It can be worse.

Mess at bait receivers

You should also see the lines at the bait receivers at Mission Bay and San Diego bay. You might be waiting up to an hour just to get bait. Was at MB last week and it took over 45 minutes to get a half scoop.

Just to add to it, some guy was body surfing in the launch zone when that picture was taken. I was landing and told the guy that it was a no swim zone and he just laughed. Why would anyone want to body surf where the waves are tiny and there are hordes of kayaks going in and out? It doesn't make sense.

Three more weeks and summer is over. Kids back to school. Vacationers back to where they came. I don't bother rolling the F250 onto the beach when it's like that. I use a dolly. I'm always worried a small child will walk under the wheel.

Bait barge at DP also very bad. I was 30th in line the other day (weekday) with 15 more behind me. The real kicker is that after waiting my turn, the cattle boats just pull in line, as they please.

Yikes I thought it was bad when I was the 14th person in line at Mission Bay on a Wednesday. Hell I was better off then I realized.

That must have been frustrating. You may not realize there'd be no bait barge without the sportfishing boats. Those guys operate on a contract basis with the barges, providing the bait operator with enough business to put gas in the bait boat. So you might as well grin and bear it, or better yet, catch your own.
