New Kayak! 2014 Jackson Big Rig

I have been lurking on here for about 6 months tryin to sell my boat and get some yaks for me and the wife. We ended up getting two wonderful yaks. One fishing machine for me, a 2014 Jackson Big Rig, and hers is a Wilderness Systems Ride 115. We rode them today for about 30 mins this evening and wow what fun. We live on a lake in the middle of the High Desert of California and being able to come home and relax with a quick paddle is everything I had hoped it would be! We even put our puppies in with us and they were so confused, but we loved it. I look forward to catching some awesome fish with this boat and making some great friends along the way.

Congrats on your purchase! It is hard to find a more relaxing sensation. Then cruising around on your kayak. Welcome to the board. Allot of the guys and gals here have years of experience. Best part is they don't mind sharing there knowledge. So if you have questions ask away. That's what I do!

Thanks guys for the warm welcome! The yak is very big and compared to my boat it is so relaxing. No outboard to worry about, all the gear I could need is right behind me. I am very happy about my purchase the wife enjoys hers as well. I won't be too surprised if she asks me to put some rod holders on for her.

I grew up fishing that lake, always did well with Trout and LMB, but that was over 10 years ago. How's the fishing out there currently? Great rigs for floating around out there, even nice and comfy for watching fireworks from the middle of the lake .

Big Rig and Ride 115

We had a great time coming down Iceman! I really appreciate that when I got there you had the Big Rig right there and ready for me to check out. Your staff assisted with loading the Kayaks we bought and were very friendly! I look forward to coming down again sometime for some paddling around your wonderful area there. The drive was well worth it and your customer service was fantastic!
