December 7 food bank charity event/white elephant exchange

Recently I bought 50 packs of gulp minnows. These are great for the bays. They were going to be part of the give aways for next years Bass and Brew. They were dirt cheap because they are old stock. Still will work, just don't want to keep them around for next year to dry out.

Here is my idea, bring canned goods to to Shelter Island launch or Tidelands and I'll give out the Gulp baits. We'll donate the food to a local food bank. We can do hotdogs after we fish and have a white elephant gift exchange. That should be good for a few laughs!!!!

I personally would rather fish Tidelands but will gladly go along with the group if any others care to make this event happen.

Feel free to make suggestions and respond.

Patrick

Canned good of your choice. I have a small gas table top grill. I'll bring some dogs and buns and condiments.

Maybe water Bob, that would be good after paddling.
Thanks

Plenty of gulp to go around!
If gulp is not your thing, then I have 100 each of these two plastics.

Baits

The minnow and the creature are both Berkley baits. 100 to a bag!

Patrick, you know I was saving my coming out party for Baja or Bust, but this works as well. Thank you for bringing this get together to our community.

Your welcome. I'll have other plastics there as well. I came across another box in the garage with YUM baits and sizemic frog baits that are like bulky Scampi lures. And some other stuff as well.

Here's my food donation.

And I made up a "Red Bag", like I had at Bass and Brew. Someone gets this on top of the other lures I'm bringing.

Hope to see you Saturday at Tidelands.

I'm working on getting permission from the weekend scheduler. She's usually quite agreeable when I go fishing for a good cause. I should be there and may bring my son if I can get a rental yak from MCRD.

My boy (25 y. o.) and I will be there. We're not too experienced at bay fishing, but willing to give it a try. Got a bunch of canned goods. Sounds like it will be a wet one.
