Need help with gear
Kencor 707 5'10" 10-40 ocean rod Saber 5'7" 30-80 ocean rod the handle alone is 3' long ( was told good for boat but my be to stiff for yak fishing Quantum blue runner 7' rod 6-15 lb Penn Jig master 501 reel If I end up staying Ill buy more upper end stuff. Are the penn reliance any good. I see alot of penn reels on line IE reliance, senators ect. in my price range.....My areas to fish will be Newport bay/ CDM and Dana point local areas....with a LJ trip here and there time permitting......any help would be great.... size and length of rods reels and types of lines to spool them with needed. Better to ask then buy alot of useless tackle thanks and look forward to replys |

Welcome Get a daiwa sealine 20 or 30 size mount it on a turners californian rod 15 - 20 should be under $100 and a Revo orra or a curado for the bass And put on the kencor. Or the quantum

X2, you definitely need a bass setup. And the other will cover anything else you might come across.
