Multiple hooks on the jig pay off double....

I have been using 4 slow pitch hooks on my speed jigs. They make it easier to hook fish. Last weekend I came across this school of AJ's

I had two double headers while ripping the jig through this school.

I was able to CPR a total of 6 fish off that school before losing my jig to a bigger fish that destroyed my last 60lb leader.

That's pretty sweet, usually the multiple hooks are key for keeping the fish on the line once hooked. Have had some hooks straighten out and still land the jack.

Impressive that you've managed doubles.

Thanks. It is a trade-off, heavier hooks have less chance of straightening but also get fewer hook ups. The multi hooks also work better on toothy critters as if they bite off the hook in the mouth, there's a good chance one of the other hooks hooked them elsewhere.

This one was greeted by the men in grey suits halfway up.
