Finder Advice

I just got a Hobie Outback. I would like to install a fish finder on my new ride. I was looking at getting either the Lowrance Elite-4 (chartplotter/finder combo) or the DSI version of the same thing. I have heard mixed things on the DSI. Does anyone have any experience with these units or have any suggestions? If so I would greatly appreciate some input before I go spend some... $$$$$

The DSI is down-imaging only, not super useful by itself IMO. Go with the Elite 4 if you want a true FF.

I'm thinking I might be heading down the path of a Lowrance Elite-4. I will skip the DSI. Thanks for the tip.
