Fishing Tidelands tomorrow AM
Wishing everyone a great year full of great catches and fun days on your kayaks. I will launch at the Tidelands around 7AM, anyone planning on being there?

There is going to be a very big outgoing tide tomorrow. I am going to fish Chula Vista tomorrow as the big tide swings down here do not give you a crazy current.

If you have a heavier flipping jig or preferably a football headed jig around 3/4oz you should do well in the channel. I trim the guards back as there isn't anything much to snag in deeper areas. Add a lively trailer and let it roll along in the long line technique. Helps to use braid for this.

Sorry for the late report. I ended up with 7 bass -none were legal- and one huge hit on my halibut rig with ghost shrimp (by the way, thanks for the recommendation) but I ended up loosing it. Current was very strong the whole day. It was a fun day and great not to be skunked on my first trip this year.
