It's a damn good boat... $145 for a 3/4 day is kind of steep in my opinion but I absolutely love that boat and crew. Good luck!

HMMMMMM let me see,
Fresh organic Ahi is about 18$ a pound.

18 times 80lb of ahi = well, you do the math.

$145 on a 3/4 day boat...THAT'S SHEEEEP!!!

I think the 3/4 boats are taking advantage of the situation with the extra charges. Normal trip was 85 and went to Coronado and chased yellows. Good for them but I rather just do an overnight at that point.

Overnight boats are $250/275 Why would you pay almost twice as much when you could catch your limit on a 3/4 day boat right now? Makes no sence.

Oh man looks like everything went up then. I do 3/4 and chartered multi day trips. Thank goodness the prices are still the same.

I don't begrudge the guys making money when they can. At $145 the Malihini next Friday is already sold out as are most of the other 3/4 day boats. As Driftwood pointed out, at $18/lb, it only takes one small fish to break even.

The fishing industry has been loosing money for years. Many boats have gone out of business i.e. the Indian and others. I for one am happy to see them make money again. The MlPA and now the PEW is/will make it real hard on them to make a living. Momo fish, with all do respect, you need to do your research.

I was on that trip! It was a good time! I ended up with 3 . I thought the crew did a great job too. They really cared to ensure everyone had an opportunity to bring one in when they handed off the popper to those few that have not pulled on one,it was cool of them.

I would definitely return to the Malihini
